FondaCity® AIoT Cloud Platform|From Connecting Devices to Understanding Real‑World Context

AIoT has become a core enabler for urban digital transformation, and urban lighting stands out as one of its most practical and widely deployed use cases.
As massive IoT devices get connected and business scenarios grow increasingly sophisticated, smart urban lighting platforms face new challenges beyond simple device connectivity. Operators need systems that can interpret real‑world field conditions, respond rapidly to O&M demands, and run stably amid continuously expanding device fleets.
To meet real‑project requirements and streamline field delivery, we have launched the upgraded FondaCity® AIoT Cloud Platform. This new version optimizes intelligent interaction, scenario‑oriented solutions, underlying platform architecture and operational reliability. It enables more human‑friendly man‑machine interaction, closes the full loop of sensing, decision‑making and control, and propels urban lighting from remote management to intelligent collaboration.
Rather than just a regular feature upgrade, this release evolves FondaCity from centralized device management into a solid AIoT foundation for smart urban lighting operations.

Interaction Upgrade: A Platform That Understands Users Better

When thousands of lighting devices are onboarded, platforms tend to grow complicated with layered menus, massive data points and complex workflows. Rich functions should never translate into complicated operations for end users.
The new FondaCity strengthens AI‑powered interaction with built‑in natural‑language understanding for platform operations and data retrieval. Operators can send text or voice commands to check platform functions, device status, online rates and energy consumption data. Users can also directly name a target project, road or function page, and the system will navigate there automatically.
With proper authorization, staff can turn on/off specific luminaires or execute batch control over lighting equipment via natural‑language instructions. The built‑in AI energy knowledge base structures product specifications, O&M experience and energy‑related data to accelerate daily query and data analysis.
AI serves as FondaCity’s second interaction layer alongside the graphical user interface. It is far more than an extra chat widget: it lowers barriers for complex IoT system operation and simplifies information lookup, page navigation and device control.
Visual and interactive experience is also fully optimized. Adopting a lightweight, streamlined design language, the platform reorganizes page structures and information hierarchy, prioritizes frequently‑used operations, and unifies icons, cards and chart components for consistent logic across all business pages. The interface works seamlessly for laptops as well as 4K large display screens.
The Smart Operations Cockpit supports switching between standard and black‑gold themes, catering to daily O&M monitoring and public demonstration scenarios. Core metrics including device online rate, real‑time alarms, maintenance work orders and GIS maps are displayed centrally, helping operators grasp overall urban lighting status at a glance.

Scenario Upgrade: A Platform That Better Understands Real‑World Conditions

Genuine smart lighting is not limited to rigid on‑off schedules. It shall perceive environmental changes and dynamically respond to road conditions, traffic volume and device health status. Leveraging native GIS visualization, multi‑protocol access and multi‑level strategy scheduling, FondaCity brings three polished scenario‑driven solutions.
Millimeter‑wave Radar On‑demand Lighting Solution Suited for urban roads, tunnels, campus roads and scenic walkways. Millimeter‑wave radar detects vehicle movement, transmits signals via DTU to the cloud platform, and triggers pre‑set strategies for LTE lighting controller. Lights brighten upon vehicle arrival and dim after vehicles pass by. This shifts lighting control from fixed timing to real traffic‑driven logic, balancing road safety and energy‑saving performance.
LoRaWAN + DALI Multi‑channel Fine Lighting Solution Optimized for long‑distance transmission, complicated wiring and multi‑loop control projects. It combines low‑power wide‑area network with DALI digital lighting control. Compatible with DT6 and DT8 standards, it supports RGB and CCT dimming & color tuning for roads, campuses, parking lots and landscape lighting.
Integrated Solar Lighting Management Solution FondaCity unifies access for solar‑powered lighting controllers and controllers via gateways, DTUs and wireless communicators. It centrally collects operating data of loads, batteries and solar panels, embedding these data into device configuration, strategy execution and alarm mechanisms. O&M teams can track power supply and energy‑storage conditions in real time to identify battery degradation, power anomalies and offline devices. Remote parameter tuning and strategy distribution reduce on‑site inspection frequency and improve fault response efficiency for stable off‑grid lighting operation.
All three solutions form end‑to‑end chains covering field sensing, data transmission, cloud decision‑making and controller execution. Combined with sunrise‑sunset calculation, ambient illuminance sensing and multi‑level task scheduling, FondaCity adjusts lighting policies dynamically according to seasons, ambient environment and road conditions.

Foundation Upgrade: Closing the Loop Across Sensing, Control, and Operations

To interpret site conditions accurately, high‑quality, trustworthy and usable data is the prerequisite.
On the sensing layer, enhanced parameter and status management is implemented for LD24G‑200 millimeter‑wave radar, securing stable detection performance under complex road environments. Alarm judgment logics for offline status and power loss are optimized to cut down invalid alarm interference for maintenance crews.
The RTU150 series adds integrated light‑driven control capabilities. It merges sunrise‑sunset algorithm outputs with real‑world ambient light readings, so lighting strategies adapt automatically with seasonal shifts and weather changes, moving street lamps from time‑based triggering to environment‑driven operation.
In terms of energy metering, FondaCity improves unified access and stable data collection for single‑phase & three‑phase electricity meters to obtain power consumption, voltage, current and other key metrics, supporting remote meter reading and energy analysis. Broader compatibility for illuminance sensors and meters optimizes linkage among environmental sensing, energy metering and lighting control.
The O&M workflow is extended from fault detection to full‑lifecycle resolution. Device exceptions can auto‑trigger work‑order workflows including task dispatching, repair, acceptance and filing. Complete device archives keep traceable records for every maintenance activity. This release further improves flexibility of alarm configuration, remote strategy delivery and historical‑data review to streamline O&M workflows.
Platform security gets reinforced with self‑service password reset, multi‑factor authentication and operation audit trails for multi‑role collaborative work. Scheduled tasks, sunrise‑sunset tasks and ad‑hoc temporary tasks are restructured for unified execution logic, query entry and batch management.
With these foundational improvements, FondaCity evolves beyond a simple device manager to a complete urban lighting operating system that connects sensing, decision‑making and controller continuously.

Reliability Upgrade: Built for Long‑Term City‑Scale Operations

City‑grade AIoT platforms must cope with multi‑vendor hardware, complicated network environments and continuously expanding business scale. Besides rich feature sets, long‑run compatibility, stability and scalability are critical.
FondaCity supports over 50 device categories and more than 100 hardware models, covering central controllers, wireless gateways, single‑lamp controllers, solar controllers, sensors and energy‑metering equipment. It supports mainstream communication protocols: LTE, PLC, LoRa, NB‑IoT, RS485 and LoRaWAN. Standardized open APIs are available for integration with third‑party IoT platforms and municipal city‑level systems.
Under designated server and operating environments, the new release supports concurrent access of 100,000‑class LTE controllers and 50,000‑class LD controllers. It handles high‑load scenarios where 10% of connected controllers raise alarms simultaneously. Page response stays around 500 ms, and core API response remains below 500 ms.
More than 1,500 closed‑loop test cases are completed, covering functions, interfaces, performance, compatibility, security and end‑to‑end business flows, forming a comprehensive quality assurance system for the whole product lifecycle.
These capabilities fully prepare FondaCity for city‑scale deployment, future capacity expansion and evolving business requirements.
